Lake Tahoe : The Perfect Place to Relax

Lake Tahoe is a marvelous place to take a vacation, live, and see numerous beautiful sites. Lake Tahoe once held the Winter Olympics. That was back in 1960. But you don’t have to have a special event there just to go and have fun. Lake Tahoe has so much more to offer.
As you probably know, Lake Tahoe has some cold days and nights for you. If the winter weather isn’t a problem for you, and you would still like to sight see, how about a carriage ride or sleigh ride? Sounds fun right? This is perfect for you and your sweetie to have a little romance and heat things up in the wintery cold. If you and your sweetie didn’t come along this time, that’s still all good and well, the more the merrier right? You and your family can still enjoy a sleigh ride or carriage ride and have the time of your lives. Speaking of sleigh and carriage rides, this makes a perfect Christmas vacation or Christmas get away. Wouldn’t you say? There will be tons of snow for you and the family to make snow angels and snow men.
If you would like to be out and about in the elements in a totally different way, Lake Tahoe still has you covered. How about Hiking? You can hike alone if you would like of course, but it’s perfect for families also. Get up early and get the kids in gear for a little outdoor adventure. This is a really cool experience if you live in a big city. You won’t see too many sites like this one. If you would like to have a little 1 on 1 mini history lesson about the place, Lake Tahoe is already geared up with on site rangers and visitor centers so you can know the answers to all of your questions. This could be a learning adventure for you and your family. This is also a great place to take pictures and show your friends back home what you saw and what you learned while you were away.
If skiing is on the menu for you, come on down and check out the old and new slopes. While you’re chilling on the slopes, how about taking some pictures of some of the most beautiful sites you will ever see. These slopes offer a magnificent view of all of Lake Tahoe. You won’t want to be without your camera and miss this.
At the end of the day, you will be glad you came. There is so much to do and see, you will need to plan to stay at least 3 days when you do decide to visit. Whether you are traveling alone or spending some quality family time, Lake Tahoe has everything you need and welcomes you.
Ritz-Carlton Highlands at Lake Tahoe

It’s been three years since the Ritz-Carlton broke ground on a new $300 million Lake Tahoe Resort. Well, the new five-star Ritz-Carlton Highlands opened last week, taking in its first guests Dec. 9. If early indications can be used to predict future success then I think this ski resort will do very well.
“We have bookings. The holidays look good, the winter looks good,” said Steven Holt, spokesman for the Ritz at Tahoe. This hotel is not your typical mountain resort. You won’t walk in and have a log cabin, deer-antler chandelier feel to it. Everything is more modern and contemporary – from the furniture to the bathrooms. The resort features 170 hotel rooms, 23 private residences and 25 Destination Club lodging facilities (like a time-share).
This new resort has pretty much everything you could ask for on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe. It’s ski-in, ski-out with stunning views of the mountains and lake. There is a spa and fitness center, fine dining and impeccable service. They’re currently offering a bunch of great packages to bring in new guests. Ritz-Carlton is also hoping that once you arrive, you’ll never want to leave. Basic rooms start at $249/night.
For additional photos and booking information, please visit the official Ritz-Carlton Highlands website.
