Lake Tahoe Snowmobiling

If you have never been on a snowmobile then you don’t know what you’re missing. We all know it looks fun as hell, but words can’t even describe the adrenaline and excitement you get when on the back of a snowmobile cruising at 30-40 mph in packed powder snow. The weather is rough when snowmobiling, but the rush makes that chill an afterthought.
Lake Tahoe is home to some of the best backcountry snowmobiling in America. There are hundreds of miles of trails, some of which take you on a journey through National Forests while others give you amazing views of the lake. It’s really a can’t miss destination for snowmobiling.
There are two Lake Tahoe snowmobile companies I wanted to highlight in today’s post. There are several other operations, just be sure to check reviews on TripAdvisor or something before booking.
Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tour Prices
www.laketahoesnowmobilingtours.com
Located in North lake Tahoe. General rates run at about $120 for a 2 hour ride. Of course they do offer private tours and half-day adventures for a lot more money.
Lake Tahoe Adventures
www.laketahoeadventures.com
Located in South Lake Tahoe. They offer scenic tours and off-trail riding. Riders must be at least 15 years-old, call them for pricing details.
Snowmobiling is definitely expensive, but I guarantee you it’s worth every penny. Would you rather spend $300 for a pair of football tickets and 3 hours of yelling at your team or for a 5 hour action packed adventure on a snowmobile? I thought so…
Lake Tahoe Casinos
Exciting and fun is Lake Tahoe’s two middle names. When you visit, they want you to be comfortable and have the time of your life. How about going to a casino? Have you ever been to one? Would you like to go again? Maybe you’ve never been to a casino and would like to have a look see. Well, come and experience casinos the Lake Tahoe way. There are 3 casinos worth mentioning when it comes to Lake Tahoe. Of course there are more, but these 3 just stand out apart from all the rest.
MontBleu is up first on the menu for casinos. Here, you have table games, slots and video games, and a poker room. That’s not all! There are also numerous events held here for your enjoyment.
Harveys is up next on the list. They have numerous packages so that you are able to save money while you enjoy the things you want. Stay and play packages are available as well as the events and entertainment package.
Horizon is last but not least on the menu. This casino enables you to enjoy the latest styles and technology in slot machines and all of your old favorites. This casino has over 42,000 square feet of entertainment and events just for you.
Best Mountain Biking Trail

Yes, we all know that Lake Tahoe has some of the most beautiful sites that the world has to offer. They also have great skiing slopes and boats for you to take on the water and have your own little adventure. One thing I didn’t mention are the biking trails.
If you are seeking a great place to mountain bike or hike, right here in Lake Tahoe is where you need to be. Lake Tahoe has the perfect climate for mountain biking. While you’re on these trials, you’ll witness beautiful scenery and so much that nature has to offer.
If you’re looking for a little adventure and beautiful scenery while you ride your bike, breathing in the fresh, crisp air, you need to be on the Western States Trailhead. This trail was paved with people in mind. It’s 4 miles long and runs along the Truckee River. While you are riding, you will have so much to see and look at. Take pictures and show your friends and family back at home how beautiful everything is. The pictures you take would be great to send as postcards. Just relax on this little bike adventure and remember that whatever you need, Lake Tahoe has you covered.
Lake Tahoe Carriage and Sleigh Rides

So you and your significant other have planned a romantic getaway in Lake Tahoe this winter. You’ll go skiing, taking a scenic drive and eat at fancy restaurants. One thing you might not be thinking of, but I highly recommend is a horse-drawn carriage ride. Sure it’s a little off the map and old school, but nothing says romance like riding through the snow on a horse drawn carriage while sipping on hot cocoa.
There are two companies I wanted to feature today – I feel they offer the best rides for the best price.
Lake Tahoe Horse & Carriage Rides
They offer private rides from 35-60 minutes and are great for romantic nights, wedding parties, anniversaries, birthdays and more. This company specializes in carriages rides, rather than sleigh rides so if you’re not one for the backcountry or are planning a summer trip then this is the pick for you.
Located in Stateline, Nevada, Borges Sleigh & Carriage Rides has been in operation for over 40 years serving the Lake Tahoe area with the some of the best rides available. Sleigh rides start at $10 for children and $20 for adults. Check out this video to get an idea of what to expect.
If any of you have been on a Lake Tahoe sleigh or carriage ride, please comment below and let me know what you think.
